Unless he is put on the 40-man roster. The Orioles would then have three more years of options. Theoretically, the Orioles could control him for nine more years if he didn't see the big leagues until his options ran out and they kept until free agency.

Surprised OFFNY hasn't bumped this with outings of Ayala. :P

Ayala has pitched 3 times for his new club over the last 10 days, pitching in 2 close games for Atlanta and one blowout loss. Given up 1 hit, 2 BB, and gotten 4 Ks, in 4.1IP.

Andale Luis! El hombre!

And Chris Jones hasn't allowed a run in 5 innings or so of relief in Bowie.
