There is no way I would swap out Hardy for Peralta. Hardy is probably one of two current Orioles I would be happy with being here for the rest of his career.

It wouldn't be a swap. Machado would move to SS, Peralta would take over at 3B, and Hardy would bring us a pitcher or LF.

    • If they lost to the Nats last night they’d just move to goalposts to “haven’t been swept in a series of three games or more.”
    • Even when Kimbrel was going better I generally regarded Cano and Coulombe as the top two guys available for Hyde. I believe in part Kimbrel's selection was Elias needing someone he could install and keep face in the clubhouse, but that isn't working out that great. At their position, Cano following Felix is kind of like Mayo following Gunnar in the "skill, not luck" data set.     Maybe Kade Strowd will beat both Mayo and Holliday to Baltimore.
    • 0-2 on Rosario and Rutschman calls for 4 change ups in a row.   Suarez hasn’t been overpowering in relief but he’s serviceable for now.
    • Hyde is smart to use Cano for the highest leverage outs rather than the saves. I'd like to see Cano, Webb, Coulombe, and Suarez all getting chances depending on matchups.
    • While I agree; it's a regular season stat.  Winning streaks never carry over to post season.  Stats from post season don't carry over into regular season stats.  714 is a well known number for Babe Ruth HR;s right?  Well he also hit 15 in the playoffs that aren't considered part of that number.   Regardless, I do kinda wish this "streak" would end (even though I don't want it to actually end because it means they'd lose a minimum of two games) because it always makes me think about the one time we DID get swept.
    • I think the CL/SU potential is there with Suarez. Maybe we need to get him adjusted to going for more K’s with our analytics/pitching lab. He’s got the tools. He’s just got to prepare for shorter, more frequent stints, and to shrink down the pitch arsenal while going for K’s.
    • That is correct. I think that was the major downfall for his season last year. He tried to play through it because players like Westburg were knocking on the door. He needs to get more opportunities vs RHP.
