Do the physical before negotiating.

This calls for my extra special winter recipe:

Two hours of :bangwall:

Mixed with a dash of :beerchug1:

Gives us :thumbsup1:

Easily serves a family of four, though helmets are recommended for children younger than 12.

Let's instead be aggressive on the SP market. Regardless, our closer will be overpaid and a disappointment at default due to recent history. Lets be proactive rather than reactive. Use all this oddly unused payroll space to sign a legit starter and get on with it. The focus is all messed up and now we're going to end up paying a bum 8M to close.

I wish there was a way to find out if the O's brass were paying any mind to, you know, other, more important holes like SP and LF/DH. Because it feels like they are all about filling the least important hole on this team.

SP and bats continue to sign elsewhere, but it feels like finding a closer is not only this team's top priority, but their only priority right now.

"Tommy Hunter is the "clear favorite" to replace Jim Johnson as the Orioles' closer if the team stays in-house, according to MASN's Roch Kubatko."

Gonna be a long year.

Clearly you underestimate the singular value of the closer for the competitive baseball team.
