You would think when Hays comes up, McKenna will go back down, but I think it will be Kjerstad. Otherwise, why would we see things like O'Hearn in RF that we should never see.
I'm not sure what role McKenna fills with a healthy Hays and Mateo on the team. Hays is a better fielder and Mateo is a better pinch runner/base stealer. I wish we saw more of Mateo in CF. I feel like Mateo could be an adequate back up CF, but he's had little chance to prove himself.
I doubt the great vibes hold up with games like that from McKenna. Just looking at Mountcastle's face after the last out kind of said it all, like: "Dude in the outfield, it's a good thing you caught those last two." Which is no doubt projection on my part, but still. I can't imagine Elias being happy seeing that clown show.
I feel like last year there was a really challenging period in the late spring/early summer that we essentially aced. Hopefully the O’s will pass those tests this year too.
Yeah, this whole Kimbrel drama situation is really taking away from how unbelievable this Bradish situation has turned out. I don’t think anyone would’ve guessed back to top 5 CYA level within 40 games into the season. Not a chance. But he’s there. We are beyond spoiled with SP right now compared to where we’ve been.
Best rotation since the 96-97 teams? 2014? Better?
