Johnson isn't sure what the problem is, but he's sure he'll solve it.

"Something's going to click," he said. "That's how this game works out. You go through slumps, and just one thing can get you going, and you're off to the races."

Not trying to pile on here, but Jim said this pretty much verbatim after every blown save last season.

I wish him well, but I'm very happy the O's went in a different direction.

I don't wish JJ any ill will. He was a great teammate by all accounts...and an even better person. I wish him the best of luck in Oakland. Unless it's against us.

Now for Balfour? Game on.

^5. Spot on, for sure!

I think by the end of the year, JJ will be up there with the AL save leaders.

Jim Johnson did not pitch the ninth inning of last evening's game. It was tied and at home. The As rallied in the bottom half for the win.

They pitched JJ in the 8th today instead of the 9th.

I can't remember the last time I saw a team use their closer that way. Has a change already been made? :scratchchinhmm:

Two Ks! Only one hit. In a losing effort though. Maybe he needed work. In a non pressure situation.

You do if you sign Koji as a FA before the 2013 season.

Of course no way Buck demotes JJ last year and no way Dan pays him this year.

That is what I said. And Jim would not have been demoted after 2012 by any manager. Billy Beane wishes he had not paid Jim.
