This team is seemingly just not able to run off big winning streaks. In 2012, longest streak was 6. In 2013, longest streak was 5. This year, also 5.

What was wrong with Pearce's approach? He got down 1-2 but fought off a bunch of good pitches and got a fly ball.

That's a pretty bad outing by Chen. 5 2/3 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 2 BB, only 3 SO and 1 HR.

If Cruz makes that catch it's 5.2 IP, 2 ER, 5 H, 2 BB. That would be a very good outing for Chen.
