Our offense consists almost exclusively of mistake hitters. Swing and miss, roll over, fly out... if their pitcher isn't tossing cookies, we aren't scoring runs. Absolutely no ability to hit competent pitching. Too bad the playoffs consist almost exclusively of effective pitchers.

I completely agree. One thing that bugs me a little though, is how well we've done all year against competent pitching. They've been real good against good pitchers actually.

We can beat the good pitchers more often than one would expect.
