I'll be OK once the fans are beat down enough to learn some humility.
Call me a spiteful jerk but I want their fans to experience what we did from 98-11. That this is a disappointment year for the Yanks shows you how big the self entitlement is.

I think that if Girardi wasn't their manager. They wouldn't be near as good as they are now.

o

A bad 1st inning.

Not only did he settle down after that, but I believe that Gausman settled down DURING that 1st innings.

His defense made him essentially get 18 outs instead of 15 in the 5 innings that he pitched, forcing him to throw more pitches.

Not including the error Paredes in the 3rd inning, he retired 13 out of the final 14 batters that he faced, ceding only a walk to Chase Headley.

Anybody who disagrees with my critique can bite me.

KEVIN GAUSMAN O (FINAL NUMBERS)

IP:. 5

H:o 3 (1 Double, 2 Singles)

R:O 2

BB: 1

SO: 5

Pitches: 97 (65 Strikes, 32 Balls)

2014 ERA: 3.57

PITCHES BY INNING

****************

35 (21 Strikes, 14 Balls)

18 (15 Strikes, 31 Balls)

19 (11 Strikes, 81 Balls)

13 (91 Strikes, 41 Balls)

12 (91 Strikes, 31 Balls)

We could see Kuroda pitch into the twelfth inning.

We're going to win the game in 9 innings.

If Kuroda wants to go out there for 3 more innings and throw some batting practice to his teammates while the Orioles are all showering in the locker room, all the power to him.

He finished well. Think there was some initial jitters for the kid.
