Ubaldo made the roster because when he is throwing 95 like he has been he is one of the most unhittable starters in the AL.

Gonzalez is 0-2 in 3 GS vs Detroit, 8.47 ERA including 8 ER in 5.1 IP this year.

Norris, 0-3 the last two years, including 0-2 this year with a 6.39 ERA in those games.

Witchy and I just had this same discussion about Gonzalez maybe being injured, and Ubaldo maybe included on the roster because of it. I could see the thinking behind the inclusion if that was the case. Not sure I would start him in game 4 of the ALDS, even being up 2 game to 1. Then again, I don't start Joe Saunders in a WC game, so who knows what might happen.

Ouch, I'm guessing that it has to be an injury. As bad as Gonzo has been against the Tigers, Bud has been bad against everyone when the sun is shining.
