Not too long before this stretch of 16 games in 16 days, the Orioles had a stretch of 21 games in 20 days.

That is two very tough stretches jammed pretty darned close together.

As the Orioles stumble toward their day off on Thursday by yet again trying to avoid being swept by salvaging the final of game of a 3-game series, I'm wondering if playing all of these games in such a compact period of time has taken any kind of toll on the team.

I'm sure glad that they have a day off on Thursday, and that the All-Star break will happen shortly after that.
