Olmos has no options. I'd rather try and DFA him and sign this guy. At least Olson as options.

As for trading Cruz, I don't think we're at the point yet where to make another trade for a MOO type bat. That's gotta wait till we see if Davis signs. Right now we should be in on trying to get a LH OF with a good OBP. We drafted Rickard in the Rule 5. He could be 1/2 of a platoon. Kim would work. Kelly Johnson, Nava, De Aza, DeJesus, Span, Murphy, Joyce, Venable, Parra could all work.

I'd like to see Kim and Venable/De Aza signed. Then Nava or Joyce on a milb deal with a ST invite.

I don't know, weams, Venable looks like he may be done. I had interest in him 3 years ago, but he has looked worse and worse over the last two years. Was terrible for Texas at the end of last year, and that has nothing to do with Petco.

Sorry for sounding aggressive but I used to like Venable as well but his numbers have really seen a sharp decline and would really be a 5th OF type IMO and we already have a few of those.

The Royals offer for Gordan was reported as only 4 years and 52 million. I thought for sure he would go back there but that is a low low ball offer. I would offer him 5 years 75 million deal.
