Upton -- 28 years old in 2016, 24.7 rWAR, 26.5 fWAR in 1184 games

Gordon -- 32 years old in 2016, 31.8 rWAR, 29.7 fWAR in 1136 games

Jones -- 30 years old in 2016, 27.5 rWAR, 25.5 fWAR in 1242 games

I'd guess Jones would be in the 5/$100 mm range.

That's ridiculous. The high end for Adam would be 6/140-150. I'm guessing he'd get about 6/120.

In reality, he'd still be on the market. He, Cespedes, and Upton would be competing for similar contracts.

I do think 5/$100 mm is conservative, having thought about it. Maybe 5/$115 mm, or 6/$135 mm would be more like it.

Same age as Chris Davis but has been more valuable over the last four years but far more consistent, had a far better track record prior to that, and plays center instead of 1B/emergency OF. So by any objective measure he's like (Davis * 1.25). Or something like that.

Having played here for as long as he has, he impresses me as a "This is my team for better or for worse" type of guy.

I'd say Frobby right on at 5/100. We value the fact Jones allegedly is a great guy, but on the FA market who knows if that sells. In a few years he will probly be better suited for left field and his horrible OBP ability and plate discipline is going to haunt him as he gets older.

A 100% performance-based analysis can get you north of 6/150.
