MLB Network: Manny is the fourth best 3B "right now"

1. Josh Donaldson

2. Kris Bryant

3. Adrian Beltre

4. Manny Machado

5. Justin Turner

6. Nolan Arenado

I was surprised to see Justin Turner that high.

Now I'm certain MLB Network is a joke. :laughlol: Beltre is in serious decline, and Donaldson had one super year. Manny is younger and more experienced than Kris Bryant. Can anyone play D like Manny?

They picked "names" over talent.

I think they combine fWAR with OPS+ and pay no attention to consistency, importance to their team, or even real defense.

C'mon. Donaldson has had three super years in a row.

I'd rather have Manny, but I have no problems with Donaldson as the number one guy.

Manny is easily better than Arenado.

I'm trying to keep him motivated. Just like I said I'd take him over Donaldson, I'd take him over Arenado too. If I was building a team from scratch, I'd take Manny number 1 overall over Trout and Harper.

Manny is easily better than Arenado.

Arenado led the majors in total bases, second in HR, and also won a GG. I would probably take Manny but I would not say "easily".

Manny, Arenado, and Donaldson are definitely the top three. They are all complete players. Donaldson has a more established track record offesnively than the other two, but Manny and Arenado are younger.

I couldn't tell you which guy will put up the most WAR next year. If I had to build around one of the three it would be Manny because he is the youngest.

Coors, Manny had a higher OPS+ (131) then Arenado (124).
