I want to know more about Lucas Long

His velocity and command took a step back late last season and haven’t come back. I’m not sure his delivery is suited for the number of innings he has been throwing.

Long suffered his worst game of the season tonight, ceding 8 Runs and 3 Walks in only 1.67 Innings Pitched.

Lucas Long was released today.   Too bad - two years ago it looked like might have a major league role.

Definitely a guy I overrated at some point, didn’t quite have the out pitch to be a reliever at the next level and when he got stretched out to start, the command and velocity suffered.

I hope he catches on somewhere if he still wants to play and wish him the best in his post-baseball life if not.
