I think the team could be looking for a salary dump for salary dump type trade. If they can't complete one by the trade deadline you could see him DFA after that.

I've mentioned this before but an Ubaldo for Nolasco swap with the Twins could make some sense. Both are signed through next year for roughly the same amount. We would have to send a prospect Minnesota's way of they might take someone like Mike Wright.

Wright is not a throw in. He has great stuff and we are lacking young pitchers with great stuff. Treasure cheap youth, we have very little of it.

(AUGUST 30th)

With Chris Tillman having gone down with an injury, the Orioles desperately needed Jimenez to step forward ...... and very surprisingly, he has.

Tonight's win should have been his. He has been effective in limited duties since the All Star Break. *One game at a time*

Baseball is a crazy game.Yes, the "sure things"usually remain that . That is, real talent usually perseveres in this sport. But Ive been around long enough to know that if an athlete has some talent and can build on confidence based on a few good performances..sometimes remarkable things can happen.

Has he been worth his contract? Probably not. But Ubaldo has had some fine performances in an Oriole uniform, and if somehow he can keep this going, whether or not Tillman returns or returns to form, he will have achieved something truly valubale for this team.More than a stop gap..a solid option. For that, he will have been worth the wild ride.

Yes it does, and it beats the hell out of being mathematically eliminated in May.
