I checked the schedule and there are plenty of make up opportunities for tonight's game. 1) Double header tomorrow (due to 12:30ish start time; end of series) 2) Double header 7/31 (due to 12:30ish start time; end of series) 3) This Thursday 5/16; mutual off day, we stay on home stand, Jays travel to Tampa That being said, this gets a bit more cramped if both games get rained out. -
I can assure OP that Mckenna isn't a prospect. Heck he's not even in the organization. -
Are our expectation of Kimbrel too high? Last year the Phillies had 71 save opportunities. Kimbrel had 28 of them. That is less than 40% of the Phillies total save opportunities. Seems like our expectation for Kimbrel are much higher. -
Huh? It was a joke all to do with one of the posters being named (this is true) gangsta gangsta. All respect to you, Moose, MurphDog, and whoever voted for McKenna who are all respected posters. I have never seen a post from Mr. Or Ms. gangsta gangsta. -

We are in an unusual situation in that we want to win now (and are winning now), yet we also have a lot of good prospects that need playing time. Those two goals come into conflict somewhat, because almost all prospects struggle out of the gate. But so far, we have been able to win in spite of Adley, Gunnar, GrayRod and Westburg struggling somewhat at first--and now that they are over their struggles, they are all core players. There will be more pain as we try to work in Cowser, Holliday, Mayo and Kjerstad, and it's possible that some of them won't work out. But the potential payoff is huge, and as long as we are winning I'm willing to put up with some young players struggling this year and next. -
I'll be honest, I didn't remember that. I could swear I saw him in a box score last week. Oh well. Hard to keep track of the amount of players Elias claims and then loses on waivers. Well, Mateo can play some centerfield in a pinch so if Hays went down, I guess they'll just have to live with Stowers hitting against those tough lefties and play left field. -
I’d rather watch a prospect struggle then Cedric Mullins get 4 at bats a game.
