You know what can cause shoulder instability? A torn labrum.

Let's hope it's not because that the death nail for a pitching prospect.

Yeah, had the same thought. But I am going to stay positive with Harvey. I hope he did not do more harm by pitching with the injury. I am trying not to add to the doom and gloom around here. Pitchers get injured, but this is one is freakish.

An injury like this reveals how thin our system really is when it pertains to top tier talent.  If we don't have a fire sale, start spending money on the International Market, and invest in better player development, the Orioles may never be relevant again.  Where is the talent going to come from?

Me. I'm trying out later today. You're welcome.

Excellent news, not a torn labrum then ....

Well I've seen Orioles pitchers before get the go ahead to start throwing again and after they still aren't fixed, the inevitable happens. Perhaps Harvey will be different, but I won't be convinced until i see him throwing mid-90s again with a hammer curve in game action.

Even after a exam from Dr. Andrews? Just curious.

I just took a peek at his 2019 minor league numbers. Ouch! What happened? This was a guy some were thinking might get an extended look in spring training for a rotation spot, before they signed Cashner and Cobb. Is it time to stick a fork in him or his this just a blip on the radar?

What happened is that he was pitching two levels above where he had ever pitched before, after barely pitching for three years.    People who thought he’d just shrug that off like it was nothing were dreaming.    He’s still got potential but his inability to stay healthy is a huge issue now.

The era is ugly, but I guess on a positive note he's averaging close to a K per 9. What is it with us and these highly rated pitching prospects who just can't seem to stay healthy? First Bundy and now Harvey.
