Not be overly aggressive against every single pitcher? Let your hitters behind you track pitches and see what the pitcher is offering?

The other is, honestly, not having them in situations where they have to press. If a guy is struggling and he's constantly coming up w/ RISP, I don't think that's fair. I think there needs to be more movement/changes in the lineup based on who's hot/who's not.

For his role, I think he is fine.

We can't expect bench guys to be 5 tool guys and play like Trout.

Giving AJ a breathing last night for a couple of innings, is pretty important.

For his role??? Not a 5 tool guy?? Name a tool he has. It's not hitting, power or average, not defense (his route on a two out double in SF was Trumboist, average arm), speed, really pretty average overall. If he wasn't a BS or Brady boy they would be looking at someone else. Calling him a back up for AJ just illustrates the lousy choices the O's have.

Since the lineup is basically meaning less after the first inning why not bat the top 4-5 guys who have the best OPS in their first AB in a G.

This is one of the reasons I hope that Buck continues to start Kim even against lefties. He has one of the best approaches on the team when he's in the box IMO.
