I think it's a shift of focus thing. Whatever was in his head previously that he needed to concentrate on to pitch better or repeat his delivery has been shifted to something else. While doing so, the thing that was a problem pretty much took care of itself. Which is to say, it's probably psychelogical. And it's working.
