I will be happy for my longsuffering Cubs friends if they win this. But in a way, it would not hurt my feelings if they lost just to delay the gratification of the bandwagoneers for another season.

I haven't actually watched much of this series, but every time I tune in, the announcers are slobbering all over David Ross. Like...why? I just don't get it.

It's his last season. Kind of like what people do with any player in the championship in his last year (Ray Lewis, anyone?)

He's retiring, so it's his last game. I think they made a big deal of his last Wrigley game as well.

Lewis will be in the Hall of Fame.
