So I guess there is a chance. But Duquette seems to have little interest.

I'd prefer to hold onto Brach and Mancini, especially if we're talking about expensive one year rentals like Granderson. I think the vacant COF spot can be addressed adequately without weakening both our biggest strength (the bullpen) and our biggest weakness (the farm).

I'd rather have Carter/Pedro DH for 12 million next year than pay Trumbo 80 million to basically do the same thing.  Maybe we just don't trust Mancini just yet and that's fine for a team that's trying to win now.  Mancini has value and we shouldn't just toss him away.  

Plan A: Trumbo in RF.  Mancini/LH(Pedro) at DH.  Bourn as 5th OF.

Plan B: Carter/Pedro DH.  Pagan/Granderson/Melky/Saunders in RF.
