Chris Tillman's schedule has been laid out for us.

Tillman will long toss on Thursday to his maximum comfort, and, assuming that his right shoulder feels good, he will have bullpen sessions on Saturday, Monday, and next Wednesday at Camden Yards. Buck Showalter said that the best-case-scenario would be for Tillman to make his first start of the 2017 season on May 2nd, against the Red Sox in Fenway Park. 

Tillman will throw three bullpen sessions and a simulated game before throwing in an extended spring game on April 11th. If all goes well, he would make four more extended Spring or Minor League starts (April 11th, 17th, 22nd, and 27th) before his first possible major league slot comes up on May 2nd.

It might not be a big deal.  It was just his first rehab start and a minor league game.  What concerns me is the comment about having trouble loosening up.  Have the Orioles ever made public the diagnosis of what was actually bothering Tillman this spring?

I think it's a given that Tillman has something fundamentally wrong with his shoulder and he and the Orioles are trying to get a season out of him. It must not be something a relatively quick operation would fix or you think he would go ahead with surgery since he's a pending free agent.
