I'm looking at his his stats in the minors and his ops is in the 800s. I wonder if this guy could be a bigger piece at some point. He was a top 100 prospect a few seasons ago.

Eh, he's just a free swinger to help fill out a MiLB roster somewhere. Hit a few homers. He's got a ton of pop, but absolutely no discipline. The last three years in the minors, he's just barely kept his OBP north of .300. He'd be lost in the show.

Texas gave him an extended look due to his prospect status a few years ago and he didn't do much with it.  On a hot streak for two weeks he has the offensive skills to contribute to a playoff team, but not much beyond that.

That .800 OPS was in a hitters' league.  Boy, he was once a heckuva prospect but really went downhill.  Maybe it was curveballs, maybe something else.  Good luck to him.
