It is very disheartening to have your starting pitcher throw 6 shutout innings on the road, have your offense stake you to a 4-0 lead in the process, and still lose the game.

If the Astros do wind up losing this game, we will find out what they are made of.

Their GM decided their pen didn’t need any improvement.  Their bullpen was 5.16 ERA after the All Star Break...25th in majors.  Bad call.

There is nothing worse in sports than a pen blowing a lead. Nothing. Buzzer beaters stink in basketball, last second drives in football hurt but this is the worst.

The one-two punch of Dallas Keuchel and Justin Verlander atop the Astros' starting rotation is mildly reminiscent of when the Diamondbacks had a one-two punch of Randy Johnson And Curt Schilling atop their starting rotation when they played the Yankees in a Best-of-7 postseason series back in 2001.

Hope they wake up at home. This is awful.

I am afraid their chance was yesterday, with the one badly pitched inning the Yankees had the entire series so far. Will there be another one? They might have to win another pair of 2-1 or 1-0 games back in Houston.
