There are too many possible explanations for any particular guess to be likely. He may not even have been referring to the baseball industry. My guess is that it has nothing to do with any O's transaction business.

The tweet was from yesterday around the time that the Louie CK article was released. Maybe he was upset about that. "This industry" meaning showing business/entertainment. But, who knows, I just like playing detective.

If I were referring to an industry that I was not involved in I would say that industry.

Right, "...in this industry."  The use of "this" hints at an industry he belongs to.
