Kinda bizarre that the article doesn't say where the field actually is. West Baltimore is not a small place. It is behind James Mosher Elementary School, for those that are curious.

The Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation is opening Brooks Robinson Field Tuesday at Frederick Douglass High School in Baltimore.

A state-of-the-art synthetic turf field will be home field school's softball and baseball teams that used to practice on concrete surfaces.

The Ripken Foundation has completed 88 multipurpose synthetic turf facilities in 23 states and Washington D.C., including 13 completed parks throughout the state of Maryland.

They continue to do amazing work, and it's a wonderful way to honor Cal Sr.
