Maybe not relevant, yes he did go but he has not seemed very happy and seems likely to be regretting it.  I do think that Manny would consider Boston if the $ was right.

Perhaps, but it seems to me your point was that A)  Teams would prefer that Manny toil away for a loser and B) DD should start a bidding war.  

IF I were a GM and thought I was a top contender and believed Manny might be the piece to put me over the top.... I would try to convince DD that my three stud top 100 prospects would guarantee to please the old man and my now ready 4th starter can all be yours if you say yes right now.  I just dont think DD could hang up on that...

Packaging Trumbo diminishes the return you get for Manny, it doesn’t add to it.

Also, if I am the Red Sox, I don’t trade Devers for 1 year of Manny straight up. I think the return expectations for some of you are a tad unrealistic.
