I would like Lynn or Cobb. And I hope DD doesn't resign Tillman.

I posted this on Jan 13th.   We are a week closer to ST and only one of the 25 remaining FA signed this week.  Hoiwie Kendrick with the Nationals.   Kind of incredible that the market is this slow.    24 days until pitchers and catchers  report and 24 of the top 51 free agents are still unsigned.

This is the most boring offseason I can ever remember, not just as an O’s fan, but in general.   It will be very interesting to see whether the salaries of the late signings are noticeably lower than projected before the offseason began, or whether all this waiting has been for nothing.

I kind’ve like the NBA/NFL systems where the offseason signings are compressed into a very short period.    Of course, their salary cap structures may lend themselves to that.

It has been boring.  Im legitimately excited to see the last part, about as exciting as it gets is what ends up happening to these players that it seems nobody wants, at least not for the asking price.  Could be a lot of weird short contracts but can't imagine anyone would prefer a one year deal heading into next year's monster FA class.

Maybe the Monster Class will be a fizzle too!

And 12 of the 26 who have signed are relievers.

So there were 13 relievers in the top 50 and 12 of them have signed.

Only 14 of the top 37 non-reliever free agents have signed, and spring training is barely over 3 weeks away.

I posted this a move ago on Jan 13th.    4 of the top 51 have signed in the last month.     Look at the OP to see the list on who has signed and who is still out there.

Some really greedy players and agents out there from my perspective.  Hosmer  2 offers for 7/140 and still unsigned.   Dyson has never made more than 2.8m in any year but wants 2/14m.  And it goes on and on.

I posted a tweet the other day that showed a large portion of the top 30 unsigned players are Boras clients.
