Last year wasnt everyone asking like how many more starts will Tillman get?

This year...Same story different year.

Its different.    Now the O's have Melville to replace Tillman and soon Hess will be ready.

I think Brian Matusz is calling the shots. If Tillman can get enough starts he can replace Matusz as the starting pitcher with the all time worst season. Could also be that they want to see if Tillman can give up 5 HRs without recording an out so they can get Bundy out of the record book

When (not if) Tillman implodes tonight, maybe Melville or Hess can keep the rotation spot warm for Harvey?  Then Tillman can be DFA'd or slid into a low-leverage mop up role.

So basically your saying he can go relieve himself.

It's got to be Hess after Tillman inevitably fails again.  Another Tillman start should be the final nail in Showalter's coffin.

You know it isn't inevitable.  He's had one, maybe two good starts in the last two seasons.  Theoretically it could happen again.

So we should release him, and then resign him again next April and let him pitch until he wins a game, and then continue to repeat until he retires.

Melville, Hess and Harvey all have options which improve the starter staff's flexibility.
