But Chris Davis hit a 440+ foot home run, so everything is great!!!!!!!

Or so says the Orioles/MASN social media department.  they actually posted that on FB trumpeting his HR in the 2nd and completely glossed over the fact that the score was 10-1.  Embarrassing.  Smgdh.

Just now, JazzyJake said:

Question: How is ERA calculated when the pitcher didn’t record a single out?  Not even 1/3 of an inning?

In that outing, there technically isn't an ERA. You have to record an out before the formula can be calculated.

For the season, you just add the runs allowed and zero innings pitched to his cumulative totals.

My thoughts exactly.  MASN's social media account thinks the fans are stupid enough to be distracted by a long home run, when we are down 10-1 and the worst team in baseball.

Oh look, something shiny!

Looking at some photos from last nights game the Masn social media folks might have been the only ones at the game.

The first place to look is at the pitch data to see if something has changed with Bundy's speed, location or movement with his recent starts.

If there no signs of change there, I would begin to suspect that Bundy is tipping his pitches somehow.

In their defense, what are they supposed to do, say the teams sucks? They are literally PR for the Orioles. They have to emphasize any positives.

At least the Orioles do something that has not been done in a century or more. Come out and see history-new oriole slogan.

The light-hitting Kansas City Royals gave the Orioles a sobering wake-up call in Tuesday’s series opener at Camden Yards. The Orioles had lost 12 straight on the road – the first time a team has gone winless on back-to-back road trips of five games or more since the 1890 Pittsburgh Alleghenys – so getting back home to Camden Yards had to improve their fortunes, right?
