Looks that way.   The word was Austin Pruitt.

Obviously Cash changed him up a bit.   There's no requirement that you announce anyone but your starter, I guess.

So far it doesn't look like having a reliever throw the first is going to change the scoring in the first.  Only need a few thousand more data points...

When you've got just 3 or 4 guys on the bench instead of 6 or 7 like Earl used to have back in the day, pinch hitting in the 2nd or 3rd inning would be idiotic.

Getting yourself down to a 3 man bench in the very early innings when one guy is the backup C and the other is a gimpy Trumbo just isn't the right move.

And Davis is "red hot", 2 for 7 in this series and hit one of those elusive sac flies we can never get in the first inning.

Mancini did not play that too well (surprise!) but I don't know if it cost us anything.   MAYBE could have held the second runner at 3rd.
