Will Bleier or Castro be optioned?

With Britton and O'Day coming off the DL in the next week, who goes and who stays in the pen.

Hart will be sent down to make room for Valencia.

Britton, Brach, O'Day, Givens, Araujo, Wright  are all probably staying.   They have went this far with Araujo.  He has raw talent and on a losing team that has no hope of the playoffs, he is a player for the future.    Wright's last 5 outings have been scoreless.   He is settling in as a reliever and will probably not make it through waivers.   Since the O's have kept him until now, I don't see him leaving.

Scott will be optioned, at least until Britton or Brach are traded.

That leaves Bleier and Castro.  Both have options. Both have performed well enough to stay but one must go.   Unless the O's go with an 8 man pen and drop a position player.   Will the O's drop one of Alvarez, Peterson, Gentry or Rickard and go with a three man bench.  Rickard does have an option so he could go.

What do you think?

They could sell high on Blier! Oops of forgot we were talking about the Orioles.

Milwaukee has had good luck transforming the Orioles pitchers into a competitive individual.

Milwaukee has a Competitive Balance pick after the second round

Trade Blier or Wright to Milwaukee for this 73rd overall pick in the draft.

I could also add Arizona, Cleveland and Colorado to those with Playoff Aspirations and Competitive Balance Picks into any trade scenarios.  These three are after the First Round hence a little earlier in the Draft.

Wright has to be DFA's right? He has no role on the team

Buck has used Wright as a long reliever when starters are knocked out, a mop up guy and now he is starting to be used in close game.   Like the ninth inning with he O's losing by 2 in the Scherzer/Hess game.
