The Orioles don’t have an international signing kitty. They traded Kevin Gausman for the right to spend money, money that has arguably never existed.

You won't have to revisit the thread.  If either of the Mesa's make an all-star team (MLB or MiLB) the posters within will gladly bring the factoid to everyone's attention.  If they both are out of baseball in six years, nothing will be said except that a promise of adding International Talent has not been done.

They have a kitty. They actually signed some players with it. There is probably some loose change left at the bottom of the jar even if you think Dan went rogue acquiring rights he was never going to be allowed to use.

I don't even get the point of this argument.  The Orioles paid 2 million dollar signing bonus to Hunter Harvey 5 years ago.  So far he hasn't done anything.  Should the Orioles stop drafting players as they have a chance to not even make the majors yet expect millions when drafted in the first round?
