We're expected to try to deal a few of our veteran players, and this thread is intended to lay out the possible matches. As notable trades occur, or teams appear to fall out of the race, I'll update the OP.

These are the most likely teams to be buyers coupled with their most pressing needs:

1. Red Sox - Needs: 2B, CA, and Starting pitching (7/25/18 Acquired RHP Nathan Eovaldi from the Rays )
2. Yankees - Needs: 1B, Starting pitching (7/26/18 Acquired  LHP J.A. Happ from the Blue Jays), and Relievers (7/24/18 Acquired LHP Zach Britton from the O's)
3. Indians - Needs: Relievers (7/19/18 Acquired LHP Brad Hand and RHP Adam Cimber from the Padres) and OF'ers
4. Astros - Needs: Relievers (7/27/18 Acquired RHP Ryan Pressley from the Twins) and Catching (7/26/18 Acquired Martin Maldonado from the Angels)
5. Mariners - Needs: Starting pitching and Relievers (7/27/18 Acquired RHP Sam Tuivailala from the Cardinals)
6. A's - Needs: Starting pitching and Relievers (7/21/18 Acquired RHP Jeurys Familia from the Mets)
7. Phillies - Needs: SS, 3B (7/27/18 Acquired infielder Asdrubal Cabrera from the Mets) and Relievers
8. Braves - Needs: Starting pitching and Relievers (7/26/18 Acquired LHP Jonny Venters from the Rays)
9. Nationals - Needs: Relievers (7/18/18 Acquired RHP Kelvin Herrera from the Royals)
10. Cubs - Needs: Starting pitching (7/26/18 Acquired LHP Cole Hamels from the Rangers) and Relievers (7/19/18 Acquired RHP Jesse Chavez from the Rangers)
11. Brewers - Needs: CA and SS, 3B (7/27/18 Acquired 3B Mike Moustakas from the Royals), and Relievers (7/26/18 Acquire RHP Joakim Soria from the White Sox)
12. Cardinals - Needs: ? Seem to be selling ?
13. Dodgers - Needs: SS (7/18/18 Acquired SS/3B Manny Machado from the O's) and Relievers

Brewers could use a platoon partner for Travis Shaw at third (.530 OPS against lefties). Valencia would fit there.

Nobody will touch Trumbo due to the year left on his contract.

They are going to try for Dozier first.  But I could see this happening near the deadline.

Here's the Brewers minors again... what could Valencia fetch here?  Probably noone in the top 10... so what about Gatewood or Carmona?

I could see Trumbo and Valencia being guys that go at the waiver trade deadline. Nobody is going to want them taking up a roster spot for all of August but they could be brought in closer to when rosters expand. Especially Valencia.

I would add OF to the Phillies needs. Would they have interest in Jones as a RF? Would they be desperate enough to try Trumbo as a platoon option?

I would offer the Red Sox Schoop and their choice of Bundy or Guasman for a haul.  It would be great to set their system back a bit by taking a chunk out of it.

They were mentioned by one of the national guys on twitter as being among the teams looking into Britton.
