Two days in a row Elias has made a very good trade with us coming out on  top in my opinion.. Kevin Smith plus for Castro is another steal in my opinion.. He is rated higher than Akin..

How so - seeing as Castro has much better stuff, and Smith is coming off a minor league season with a 4.57 ERA and 1.56 WHIP at 24 years old?  Even with Castro having a disappointing year at age 26, he had a 3.56 ERA and 1.317 WHIP with the Mets.  That seems like a clear loss for the O's, imo.

I think this summer and fall is a good time to begin evaluating Elias' progress.  So we will see if a new thread emerges or this one is revived.
