Marcus Stroman led the Major Leagues in losses, until David Hess pulled ahead of him with his 9th last night ........ Stroman will have a chance to catch back up to him in this game, although he has pitched much better than Hess has this season.

Luis Ortiz has been called up from AAA-Norfolk to start tonight's game, in place of Andrew Cashner (blister on his finger.)

Roch Kubatko said that all of the stars aligned for Ortiz' to start the game, in spite of his awful overall numbers at AAA-Norfolk so far this season ........ Ortiz is on regular rest, Dylan Bundy is not available due to having thrown an extended bullpen session yesterday, and Hyde had to overuse the bullpen in last night's blowout loss to the Blue Jays (subsequently rendering a proverbial "bullpen" game today unfeasible.)
