Based on what?

Nothing. I'm being cynically pessimistic.  I don't like that he's in a splint.  Wouldn't think a mild sprain world warrant that, but maybe they are just being extra cautious.  I'll be happy if he returns sometime in April, but I'm not expecting it.

Let me put it his way, how often do injured Orioles comes back sooner than expected?  These minor injuries always seem to drag on.

OK, glad to hear that you’re just speculating.     I was worried you’d heard something specific.

When we go back to a 4 man bench Williams should get the call. Ironically, he and Rickard both have a career MLB OPS of .766 when facing oppo handed pitchers. Sounds like a perfect RF platoon.

Rickard is a few months older. Williams falls into the “let’s see what he can do” category. Rickard is just looking a little over exposed playing full time and against RH pitching.

Wow he went one for 19 in spring training. Minor league record shows no power. Is he  defensive specialist, this year's Craig Gentry?

Well, Williams has had a few games to show what he’s got, is he a keeper? Is he better than Mullins? Is he better than Wilkerson or Joey Rickard?

Based on what I’ve seen so far from others, I think he’s probably better than Mancini, Stewart, or Smith, But I don’t know.

In what way "Better" than Mancini, Stewart, Smith.  Offensive or Defensive.

Defensive, in center, he is better than those mentioned.  Offensive it is too small a sample size.  As a corner outfielder I have not seen enough to allow for an informed decision.  At the corners he would need to outplay Santander/Mancini offensively to get a nod.  Better than Mullins when he is 3 years older.  Hays play in center at age 23 changes things a bit as far as who is to be a keeper out of this list.

Mason Williams age 27

Trey Mancini age 27

Dwight Smith  age 26

D J Stewart age 25

Anthony Santander age 24

Cedric Mullins age 24

Austin Hays age 23

Wilkerson is super utility, not in the outfield mix in my opinion.
