Since they pitched all the way through October Cora took it very easy on the starters in spring training, barely pitched them at all.

And for the first week of the season their starters had an ERA over 7.

Looks like that plan didn't work.

Offense is down too, don't necessarily know the explanation for that.

Percentage points ahead of the Yankees.   A game ahead of the Red Sox.   Two games off the second wild card.

And they didn't allow a HR for the first time all year, ending their record-tying streak at 16.
