GrayRod was shaky.  Poor command.  One filthy change-up though.

Yeah it wasn't amazing, but his stuff looked better as the inning went on. Curveball is pretty loopy to my eyes, wish we saw a slider, but the change looked legit.

That was great to watch. Very good chance Adley is our rep next year so that should be exciting. Future isn't looking nearly as bleak as it did when Keith Law ranked us 30th in baseball.

Hall had a scoreless inning and Grayson had to pitch to start the 10th inning with a man on second one of the rules for Futures Games in extra innings. He had a solid inning and was aided by a diving catch in RF by Angels RF Adell. Overlooked by the announcers. He kept the game tied. In the bottom of the inning the AL should have bunted the runner on 2B to 3B. The next hitter flew out to right center deep enough the runner could have tagged at third and scored the winning run. The announcers differed as Harold Reynolds said he would not bunt there.  The others thought they should have bunted. The game ended in a tie and featured some impressive young talent.

Nate Beason a 6'6"pitcher in Toronto's system known for hitting 104 mph hit 102 twice and 101 and struck out two in his one inning. A Padres pitcher Patino was also impressive coming in with runners on base and ending the inning and pitching one last inning without giving up a run. He hit  99 mph several times. They said the Padres have 6 pitchers in baseballs top 100. Impressive.
