This front office is holding people accountable for their performance.  I like it.

His wOBA is .347 and wRC+ is 125. Both better than Ripken who is 2 years older at a lower level but is being promoted. Shrug.

So far on the pitching side we’ve only promoted Harvey, Sedlock, and Baumann IIRC. Grenier earned it.

Cumberland wasn’t getting a lot of playing time in Bowie. In a year with us since being acquired via trade, Cumberland has only played 43 games in Bowie, with a 4 game rehab stint in Aberdeen. .739 OPS for a C isn’t bad. Maybe they are going to give him everyday DH/1B ABs now?

Jean Carrillo was just placed on the 7 day IL, so they needed a catcher anyway. Robert's and Breazeale aren't doing good in Delmarva and I believe almost all of the Aberdeen ones are draft picks except one.

To fill you all in on Cumberland, he was in AA, hitting 25% better than league average.

He got hurt, missed a bunch of time, and recently started a rehab assignment in Aberdeen.

He’s continuing to work back in Frederick, it’s not a demotion and he’ll be back in AA in no time.

Shame it isn't happening at the ML level.

What was that Rays quote from yesteryear - something like "the only thing that separates this organization from being seen as one of the best in baseball is WINS and LOSSES at the Major League level".

Obviously not a punishment. Possibly he is needing to start and Cervenka was getting his time. Or his D is substandard.
