Pitching to Trout doesn't automatically mean throwing it in his wheelhouse. Throw one in Martin's wheelhouse and he'll hit it out, too. If walking Trout was the norm around the league, Trout wouldn't be the best anymore because he'd just get four IBB's every game and wouldn't even be given the chance to show off what he can do. I don't agree with the idea of penalizing players for being too good by advocating perpetual walks to them. How many people do you think tune in to these games or show up at any Angels game to see Trout hit? It's just wrong on many levels. The best should be given the opportunity to be the best. When we're playing the Angels in October, then we can talk about walking Trout as an act of self preservation. Not under these circumstances.

Hopefully, I have completely jinxed him now...He will probably not get another hit this series...lol.

Trout has an OBP of .571 this year with runners on base  primarily because of the walks and respect he is getting from pitchers (not ours, but pitchers on other teams) when he has runners on base...only Bonds, McGuire, Mantle, Williams have had this high an OBP with runners on base over the course of a season.

They were talking long before the dropped pop. But so what. The game is what is important. Interviews are not. They can wait.

What's preventing you from watching the game while the interviews are going on?

Nothing. I was watching. But there was no play by play, and the play by play is part of the experience. Otherwise there'd be no need for announcers at all. Just set the video and you're done.

The point remains valid. Interviews over game play, By defInition, interrupt the game.

before the game or after the game. That's why they have pre-and post-game shows and not middle-of-the-inning shows

Probably wants the play-by-play for the complete narrative experience.
