Austin Hays is one of those guys that, if he were wearing a Boston jersey, you'd find him annoying.  Like Pedroia.

Good, I want the Orioles to have one of those type players when they start winning again. Brett Gardner is more annoying than Pedroia for me at least.

I think Machado knowingly played up the bad guy angle and he wasn't that way when he came up.  Hays is instantly annoying looking.

Well, I’ve been working all evening and I see that the bullpen has not glorified itself today.

I really wish they would do something about the inherited runners scored stat. It’s not fair to charge the runs to the guy who let the runners on instead of the guy who let the runners in. I really don’t think it’s fair for the runs that scored to be charged to Scott instead of to Tate, who actually let them score. 

It is also, BTW, entirely meaningless to talk about reliever ERA without also being very clear about how many inheritedruns that reliever allowed to score.

I'll be honest, I had that thought about Hays earlier this week. He looks like one of those grinder types that if you're an opposing fan you love to hate.

Agreed, but Red Sox fans are more annoying. And Paul O'Neill is probably my most hated ball player of all time. That guy never seemed happy winning the World Series every year and never saw a strike three he agreed with the umpire.
