What are you talking about?  MLB isn't public school or private school.  It is its own business.  You are essentially comparing apples with hammers. 

As to the government not allowing them to play, there is a USG social distancing policy right now through April 30th.  It is not a law.  In some states it has been but not all.  NBA and NHL are looking to do the move to central locations and quarantine players while playing in closed environments.  If MLB wanted, they could send the teams to a state that is not on lockdown order and start playing today.  That is not going to happen because of several reasons, one being that that state will soon be on lockdown.  

I did not say they will start up now, but your saying schools are closed therefore baseball is shot is a stupid analogy was my point.  They could play today, but obviously won't happen.  I would be okay with them starting in quarantined sites to empty stadiums.  It is weird.  It was weird watching WWE, which I have resorted to to get some sports in my system.  And it was weird to watch UFC.  Will be again if UFC 249 occurs, but it's better that than watching the news or ESPN re-playing games and having "family movie nights."

I'm beginning to wonder if they'll play a single game this season. I'm also starting to get a bit stir crazy. It's amazing how much smaller your home feels when you spend the majority of the time inside. I'm also a bit jealous of pet owners. This would be a great time to have a dog. Can I temporarily adopt one online and have it delivered? 

How is everyone else doing? Working from home? Making trips to the grocery store? Those trips are feeling more and more tenuous by the minute. I really feel for those employees. I'd really like to see ALL stores put a restriction on the number of customers they allow in the store at one time for the sake of the employees. People can't police themselves on their own or restrain from overspending / hoarding supplies. If they have to wait in line maybe they'll think twice about making three trips to the store in a week.

Also China lied . Can't go to zero cases in Wuhan that quick. A statistical improbability.

They lied, but for them to go from saying lets start up basketball to saying oh standby we have an uptick again is still surprising to do.  Otherwise they would have continued with games.  In other news, Japan trying my theory didn't work. https://www.newsday.com/sports/columnists/david-lennon/japanese-baseball-mlb-coronavirus-return-1.43570449 so, my empty stadium quarantine is off the table.

Really are you even reading what I am saying.  SCHOOLS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN SPECTATOR SPORTS.  Almost all governments will not allow baseball to happen.  They aren't' going to let a traveling virus show hit their town.   They can go play in Brazil like the UFC if they want to but it isn't going to happen here in the US.  The players will never go to a third world country. But you can live in your fantasy land if you want.  

And the sports would take a tremendous backlash by even attempting something like you suggest.

We got the order to start working from home on 3/16.  It is a huge cultural change for the organization I support.  Since 3/13 I’ve been to the grocery store twice, ordered from Amazon once, picked up Chipotle once, and ordered pizza once.  I’m used to eating lunch out everyday, so this has been a big change. Silver lining, I gave up soda cold turkey.  Wrapping up three weeks tomorrow.  I can notice some weight dropping, but don’t want to go out and replace the batteries in my scale!

I am working from home. Luckily my job is pretty essential.   But I have worked from home since last fall.   So nothing new on that part. Last left the house for other than a walk around the neighborhood or in the backyard was a week and a half ago to pick up distance learning material from daughters school.   Had groceries delivered a few days ago. Also subscribe to Blue Apron to get some meal kits.  Wife is being paid to stay home.  So that helps with daughter being out of school. 

Doing push-ups and jumping jacks at home along with walks to try and keep in shape.  Last weekend was pretty tough as it rained all weekend.  I did some hikes in the woods previously.  Hope to find some empty trails this weekend.  

Not sure why there seems to be a shortage of eggs. Luckily I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables and surprisingly there doesn't seem to be any shortage of them.

The two times I’ve been to the store the fresh produce has been well stocked.  Frozen vegetables have been wiped out. I think your seeing a trend of people purchasing more things they can stock to reduce the amount of trips needed.  Frozen vegetables, canned goods, soups, and pasta are hard to find.  My plan with produce is to buy berries, bananas, and oranges and eat them in that order more or less.  I guess eggs are hard to find because people are cooking at home more (dunno).  I can do without them.

With each day that passes, I  find it less likely that we will see a 2020 MLB season.  Covid-19 cases are still on the rise nationwide.  There are so many unknowns with this right now.  I truly miss baseball but am willing to do without for the greater good of our nation and planet.
