Did the players report on July 1st?

Some reported. A couple of players were posting updated photos on Instagram of them at the ballpark. Elias said they were going to spread out the influx and reporters don’t exactly have access.

Yeah they can still only have a set number there to start before they all get tested and then can have more at workouts.

My guess is they get pitchers there first then the position players come like normal type spring.

I have read that the first workout is on Friday but no real details as to the type of workout or what positions will be involved.

We won't get the level of detail that we are used to getting from spring training if they do not allow the beat reporters to be there on the site and interviewing people.

What a wonderful first day of camp. Pushing 100. Humidity around 50%.  Like playing baseball in a sauna.

Yeah this. It's just not going to be like normal ST where Roch is feeding us tidbits on the regular. Which is fine! But we should set expectations of what we'll hear out of camp.

MLB network will have live coverage from the stadiums starting tomorrow at 11 with 7 hours of coverage with video.  The had some video in New York today.

Players have started reporting, workout will begin tomorrow for international guys who just arrived yesterday. They had to complete their COVID testing. If results come back clean the international guys will be on field tomorrow. Most are in hotels covered by the team for the season vs trying to acquiring housing for a 60 game season.

They do announce when they put guys on the Covid disabled list, as the Phillies did yesterday with 4 guys including Tommy Hunter.  Technically that is not proof the guys tested positive because you can go on the C-19 list if you are positive, if you have symptoms and are awaiting testing/test results, or if you have been exposed to someone who has it.

You could also find out if a player has it if he announces it himself on social media or whatever.

But the team can't come out and say it.
