It looks to me like Joey Ortiz has a decent shot to win the NL Gold Glove at 3B, or at least be a finalist.

OAA: Ortiz +9, Chapman +7, Arenado +6, McMahon +5, Hayes +5

Rtot: Ortiz +14, Chapman +12, Arenado +12, McMahon +9, Hayes +8

Rdrs: Chapman +15, McMahon +9, Hayes +9, Ortiz +6, Arenado +4

My guess is Chapman will win it because he’s better known.  But stranger things have happened than Ortiz winning.

Still can't believe we played Frazier over him last year.

If anyone wants to see Manny's blast.

Never would have guessed Nate Colbert to be the prior record holder.

Good for Manny, happy to see him having a solid season.  57.4 bWAR right now, I'd say the next 3-4 seasons or so will see if he can get himself into HOF consideration.

Fun coincidence that Manny takes that Padres HR record on the same day his San Diego PAs exactly equal his Baltimore PAs.

And check out how similar these numbers are:

  • Orioles: 3378 PAs, .283/.335/.487, 162 HRs, 471 RBI, 486 R, 47 SB, 616 K, 271 BB
  • Padres: 3378 PAs, .275/.342/.491, 164 HRs, 525 RBI, 462 R, 44 SB, 615 K, 309 BB

His defense has seemingly slipped to average but San Diego is getting what they paid for on the offensive end.

It's a commentary on the Padres tough history that he's 1st in HRs... he's 11th in Baltimore HRs with about the same amount. The O's got a 15 year head start, but still.
