The ‘48 Red Sox went 96-59 despite that 0-3 start.   Alas, they finished the season tied for first place but lost a playoff game with the Indians, so you could argue that the 0-3 start cost them the pennant.

ESPN overview on occasion of first Yankees-Red Sox series.   Admit I was astonished to discover Yankees now under-scoring the Ryan Mountcastle Orioles.   The Taillon quote given was delightful, especially for not a true Yankee with an ERA over 5.

Anyway, credit to the Red Sox for two great months.   I still think their medium term outlook is pretty bad and would pretty much bet the house Perez, Richards and Pivetta's good ERA's aren't long for the world.
