Game Notes

• This is Houston's first visit to Oriole Park since the cheating scandal.  The last game played between these two teams was August 11, 2019.   The starting pitchers were Justin Verlander and Asher Wojciechowski, and the Orioles won 8-7 on a walkoff home run by Rio Ruiz off Roberto Osuna.
• Astro 3rd baseman Alex Bregman is on the IL and will miss the series
• Houston comes in having won 16 of 20, and are in a virtual tie with Oakland for first in the AL West.  In fact, the 5 top teams in the AL (Boston, Tampa, Chicago, Houston, and Oakland) are all separated from each other by no more than one game in the standings.
• Anthony Santander is not in the lineup tonight, he has been nursing a sore ankle.  No word on his availablity off the bench

Radar shows some nasty stuff over Baltimore right now, looks like it will be gone by 7:30 or 7:45.

I wasn't around for the in-game messaging on Saturday, but -- that double-play by Wilkerson...... Wow!  He is such an enigma defensively.  One day a ball is bouncing out of his glove, and the next day he comes up with that play.

I have a brother that did and has hung on to them.  He will purchase individual cards that he needs for sets here and there, but doesn't actively collect any more.  I think now he just tracks prices.  He has over 100,000 cards.  Mostly baseball but football, basketball and hockey, too.
