A source has told ESPN's Peter Gammons that the Mariners expect to make an announcement tomorrow regarding the hiring of last season's A's bench coach Don Wakamatsu as their new manager.

It took the Mariners just 4 days to conduct 7 interviews to find their next manager. The 45-year-old Wakamatsu has never managed in the big leagues. He gets to take over the Mariners, who after last season are the 1st team to lose 100 games with a $100 million payroll. Good luck to him.
