There’s something very satisfying about the roster jockeying before the playoffs. It signifies a job well done and is a comfortable place to be. -
I agree,the O's are going to have to score early to take some pressure off him. Its going to be an interesting game 1. Thats assuming we play Detroit,which seems likely. -
For me the core pen next year is Bautista, Soto, Cano, Coulombe, Akin, Dominguez and Webb. There is plenty of swing and miss there. I see Perez and Bowman on the bubble. Elias may use Rogers, McDermott or Young as long men. There has already been a fair about of turnover with Kinbrel, Tate, Irvin, and Baumann gone. I don't expect Baker, Smith or Vespi back. Elias will no doubt add some waiver wire guys and make some small purchases. We could see a FA signing to add to the staff but I think Elias did most of his shopping at the deadline. -
Not really. I mean, when he had his rough patch in August I’m sure that it was pointed out that he had some bad luck in that stretch, which was true, but nobody was saying it was all just bad luck. And nobody has to make excuses for his 1.20 September ERA or his overall season numbers, which were excellent. -
