I didn't see the at bat, but it looked like Rutschman got 1 ball in the strike zone out of 5 pitches and struck out looking.  Strike 1 in particular was about 4 inches inside.

 

He probably should have protected the plate on strike 2 but that was not a strike.

There was one in the upper outside corner that he asked the ump about, and he clearly did not think the last pitch was a strike, but replay showed it to be right at the lower end of the zone down the middle. .

The third pitch was a strike or close enough to put it in play with a guy on second.

Haha I was thinking the same thing. I think he's just hyped up and put some extra juice on it. I like the arm strength he showed. I'm sure the next few will be more on line.
